Logo Size & Placement Guide
Here’s a quick reference for common placements. We’ll size for clarity and balance on your specific hat style.
Placement
What to expect
Front panel (most caps)
Max logo areas are typically around up to ~4 1/2" wide × ~2 1/8" tall. Actual fit varies by crown height and profile.
Trucker (high profile)
Often allows a larger front area. Mesh trucker panels restrict side/back embroidery. Suitable designs (typically small logos or brief text) can be done, and a knockdown underlay can be applied to stabilize the mesh and improve clarity.
Visor
Smaller front area; simple or condensed designs work best.
Beanie
Smaller front area; keep details bold so they read on ribbed knit.
Bucket
More flexibility around the crown; we’ll size based on panel and seam layout.
Shop guideline for Richardson 112: we generally keep front logos within ~4" wide and ≤ ~2" tall for crisp stitch quality (actual size depends on your artwork).
Front center vs. left/right offset
Centered is classic and maximizes readability. Left/right offset on the front panel gives a modern look—great for wordmarks or small icons.
Side placement (front panel)
On structured caps we can place a small mark on the left or right front panel. On mesh truckers, side placement is limited or not recommended.
Back placement
Back embroidery depends on the closure (snapback/strap/fitted). Small wordmarks above the opening work; exact size varies by opening height.
Detail limits (embroidery)
Very fine lines or tiny text can get lost. If needed, we’ll simplify small details during digitizing so everything stitches cleanly.
Upload your logo (PNG, JPG, PDF, AI, EPS, or .DST) and share quantity, color, and deadline. Include thread colors or Pantone / RGB / Hex codes for best match.
