Final embroidery size depends on your artwork, stitch density, and crown/profile. Very fine lines or tiny text may be simplified during digitizing for clean results.

Want your logo stitched on more than one spot? Add extra embroidery placements to make your hats stand out from every angle. Perfect for adding a side logo, phone number, player number, or custom text.
- Pricing — starts at $8 per additional placement (up to 10,000 stitches).
- Locations — choose from front, side, or back panels depending on your design.
- Digitizing — all logos require a one-time $25 digitizing fee, including add-on placements. Adding text such as a name, phrase, or phone number does not require digitizing.
💡 Tip: Keep placement visibility and hat structure in mind — not every design fits perfectly on all panels. We’ll review your artwork, submit a proof for approval, and may suggest adjustments to size or placement for the best embroidery results.
🧵 Thread Color Selection
Exact color match? Challenge accepted. We stock hundreds of threads to match just about any logo, or you can color-match using Pantone, RGB, or HEX codes. From bold brights to soft neutrals, your threads will be every bit as custom as your hat.

🪄 Digitizing
The process of converting artwork, text, or a logo into an embroidery file made of stitches, angles, and thread paths that your embroidery machine can read.
Every new logo requires a one-time $25 digitizing fee. This covers turning your logo into a stitch-ready file that embroiders cleanly and consistently. Once digitized, your design is yours for life — no additional setup fees on reorders.
Already have a digitized file? You can send it our way, but please note: we can’t guarantee stitch quality or alignment from third-party files. If issues arise, we’ll recommend a fresh file to ensure your logo looks its best.

🧾 Sales Tax
We collect sales tax where applicable. If your business or organization is tax exempt, please email a copy of your valid exemption certificate to hello@whicholdstitch.com.
Be sure to include the same email address that’s used for your customer account so we can mark your profile as tax-exempt. Once approved, any future orders placed while logged in with that email will automatically skip sales tax.
(If you’ve already placed an order and need tax refunded, just send your certificate and we’ll remove and refund the tax before fulfillment.)
🛒 Ready to Make It Official
Place your order and we’ll get to work. Once we have your details and payment, we’ll create a custom hat mockup with your logo and email it for approval. Nothing goes into production until you give the thumbs-up—easy, clear, and stitch-perfect.
- Place your order using the estimator as a guide for quantity and pricing.
- Send your logo — preferred file types: AI, EPS, PDF, SVG, or high-resolution PNG, JPG, or TIFF.
- Approve your proof — we’ll email a mock-up on your chosen hat color(s) for final approval before stitching.
🧵 From Proof to Production
Once your mock-up is approved, we’ll move your order into production. Each hat is stitched with care right here in our studio — no bulk outsourcing or rushed jobs.
- Production times may vary depending on supplier availability and the quantity ordered. If there are any significant delays, we’ll reach out to keep you updated every step of the way.
📦 Wrapped Up & Ready to Go
Once your hats are stitched and quality-checked, they’re packaged with care and shipped straight to you — complete with a tracking number so you can follow their journey home.

- Weather & carrier delays during transit. (We’re in Florida—sometimes hurricanes don’t check our production schedule.)
- Missing/incorrect info (contact, ship-to address, approvals). * We’re not responsible for spelling or content errors after a concept proof and stitched sample have been approved.
- Blank product availability or manufacturer backorders.
- Artwork not embroidery-ready (low-res files may require redraw/digitizing edits).
- Approval & payment — production begins after both are received.
- Revision limits — proof includes up to 2 rounds; extra revisions may affect schedule/cost.
- Customer-supplied items are stitched at your risk; we can’t replace items we didn’t supply.
- Color matching — we match thread to Pantone/RGB/Hex when provided; slight variance can occur.
We’ll alert you if an issue pops up and provide a practical alternative.
